Day 1 - Vientiane arrival
Arrive and be welcome at Vientiane Airport by your guide. Check in to the hotel where the room is at your disposal from 14.00. Spend the rest of day free at your leisure relax or explore the city. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 2 - Vientiane city tour (B)
This morning is devoted to explore Vientiane the capital city of Laos.  Highlights included:
Vat Sisaket - which, in spite of the Siamese influence, presents an architecture all of its own. The largest temple in Vientiane, it is considered the most beautiful and its old ‘Bangkok’ style has indeed saved it from destruction.
Vat Phra Keo - built in 1565 celebrates the Emerald Buddha it shelters. It was rebuilt identically in 1942. Located in a pretty garden, it shelters the Buddha under sloping, superb carved wood panels.
Pha That Louang - a cloister guarding a large stupa that was saved when the city was raided by the Siamese. Damaged by the Ho plunderers Ho in 1873, it was restored by the French in 1930. It has become the symbol of the nation, representing both Buddhism and Lao’s sovereignty. This large relic is a masterpiece of Laotian architecture.
Patuxay - a monument established in memory of the war with France. A panoramic view of Vientiane can be seen from the top.
Talat Kua Din Market – a great local market to explore.
Afterwards, you will have chance to visit the Cope museum - a museum opening in 2008 which presents the action undertaken by Cope - an organization in partnership with the government to help the invalid victims of the Indochina war and open up awareness about the UXOs (unexploded ordnance) situation in Laos. The cope Center presents the action undertaken by Cope in an interactive way. As part of the exhibition, you can watch a number of excellent documentary films about UXO’s and Cope in the projection room, try to walk with a prosthetic, enter into a reproduction of a Lao house, and enjoy arts and sculptures with mine. The Cope Center museum succeeds in presenting a sensitive subject in an amusing way which will give you a very enriching experience with deep insight into an important part of Laos history.
At the end of the afternoon, walk along the Mekong River. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3 - Vientiane Buddha Park – Vang Vieng (B)
Morning transfer by private vehicle to the south of Vientiane to visit Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuang, located 25 km southeast from Vientiane. Built in 1958 this park in a meadow by the Mekong River is the site of a large collection of many kinds of Buddhist and Hindu Sculptures. You will have chance to take a look at the impressive Friendship Bridge which links Laos and Thailand across the Mekong, and the National Cultural Park en route. Then transfer to Vang Vieng (156 km – 3.5 hour driving) with a stop on the way to visit Vang Sang which shelters dozens of Buddha high reliefs dating from the 16th century. Located on Route 13 between Luang Prabang and Vientiane, on the banks of the River Nam Song, the Vang Vieng region and the Karstic mountain range surrounding it offer splendid landscapes. Day 4 - Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang (B)
Early this morning, we will visit the caves neighbouring Vang Vieng which are a major attraction of the area. Then travel by road to Luang Prabang (227 km - about 6 hours driving) passing through beautiful local villages. Arrive at Luang Prabang the old royal capital and a UNESCO-classified world heritage site. The rest of day is free for your exploration. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Remark: Not recommend for elder clients or clients with bone and joint problems as road to the caves are high and steep.


Day 5 - Luang Prabang sightseeing (B,L)
After breakfast, start exploring the old city on the left bank of the Mekong River. Previously a religious capital, Luang Prabang showcases more than 100 temples, considered amongst the most beautiful in Laos. Highlights include: Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Visoun - the oldest temple in the city that looks like none other with its wooden windows inspired by the Khmer temple, Vat Phou and Vat Aham just next door and framed by two large Banyan trees. To continue the visit outside the city, you can cross the Nam Khan river and ride along the Mekong river to reach Ban Xieng Lek and Ban Xang Khong (4km) well knowned as paper village. After visiting the village, enjoy the lunch on the terrace over the Mekong (without the villagers). Following lunch, discover the art of making the Sa paper. The local artisan will teach you how to create two lantern patterns from Sa paper. You will first observe the 2 techniques of fabrication creating step by step the lantern with the artisan. After the lesson, create your own lantern and you can bring it home after finishing. During the activity, coffee, tea and small snack will be served by the family. At the end of the afternoon, discover the H’mong Night Market which sets up every day in the main street from 17.00 to 22.00. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 6 - Treasure hunt in Luang Prabang (B,L)
This whole day is for discover the traditions and the secrets of the ancient royal capital of Laos through an amusing and entertaining game in pursuit of a stolen treasure. From the moment you leave your hotel you will travel back five centuries: to the time during which two hermits discovered this pristine place of civilization. For indeed, this treasure hunt is a journey through time. Each event refers to an historical period. You will discover iconic, protected and hidden places of the city. This day ensures you will meet the locals. You will have a small book written in Lao dialect with which you can direct your tuk tuk guide and use to exchange information with the locals. If you succeed in your mission, you might share a drink with a local Lao family after opening the treasure chest whose code will have been restored during this day full of discoveries! A short break for lunch during the game. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 7 - Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave – Kamu Lodge (B,L,D)
This morning we drive to the pier and embark a traditional boat to cruise up along the Mekong River. En-route visits the sacred caves of Pak Ou, which shelter hundreds of Buddha statuettes. The caves offer a splendid view of the Mekong which, here, mixes its water with those of the Nam Ou River. Continue up river until reaching your Eco Lodge located nearby a Khamu village. The Mekong is at the bottom of a steep-sided valley, with tropical forest invading its banks, and from time to time a village appears out of the forest. The famous Mekong giant catfish live on this part of the river and it is not unusual to see fishermen waiting patiently their chance. At around noon time we will arrive at your lodge surrounded by lush tropical vegetation in the heart of the Lao jungle - a perfect hideaway for people who want to get away from it all. Once settle down in your own tent, enjoy lunch before we leave the lodge for visiting the neighbor Ban Nyoy Har village, where 63 families make a living in traditional Kamu fashion. Walk about the village and witness yourself the life as the Kamu live it: children are at play, everywhere delighted by your visit, a villager braiding strips of bamboo into a cylinder for rice, another scooping harvested peanuts from a tarp to a bamboo basket and yet another shaping a door frame. And everywhere, dogs and pups, pigs and piglets, chickens and chicks…. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner.


Day 8 - Kamu Lodge - Luang Prabang - Departure (B)
We leave the lodge this morning and keep cruising Mekong River back to Luang Prabang, enjoying the beautiful countryside along the cruise. Numerous villages are found on the Mekong’s riverbanks, we might stop by some villages for a leisure walking around. Upon arrival at Luang Prabang pier, transfer directly to the airport for your departure flight. Meals on your own. END OF SERVICES.

1. What should I do if I want to book a tour but cannot pay immediately?

When watching tour on the websites, if you want to book a tour but cannot pay immediately, you can definitely book that tour in advance. We would record the tour on our system. Then we will contact you via email to discuss payment issues. And you need to pay in advance 30% of the invoice value to ensure that you will use our service.

2. How do I know that my booking is confirmed?

After you have booked our tour, there will be an automatic email sent to your email which you used to book your tour. It is a confirmation of our company to notify that the booking process have been successfully stored. Within 2 working days, our representative will make a conversation with you via email or telephone call. The itinerary along with detailed information about your tour will be specified during this process.

3. What if I have special requirements for the tour?

In our online booking form, there would be a blank box which is offered to the visitor, who has special needs. It so called Special Requirements. By filling this blank, you will be ensured that our company would try our best to make you the most comfortable days without worrying anything.

4. The manner and method of payment?

10. Can I make a reservation for my friends or my family members?

Yes, you can. If you are a person who pays for and participates in the tour, you won’t need to worry about this. In case you want to make a reservation for your friends or family members, you should follow our instruction. In other words, this means you pay for it but you don’t come along with the tour. In that case, we offer you a blank space which is “Customer information”. That is the name of a person who pays for the tour. Right below that space, there is “How can we contact you in Vietnam”. Please fill in the blank with any person that you intend to book a tour for.
After completing the payment procedure online, you will receive an email in which a form is attached. Then, you fill in the form with the personal information of your friends or family members. After that, we can acknowledge all the necessary information.
