Warmly welcome by local guide on your arrival. Transfer to your hotel for check in and a short rest. In the afternoon, get to know well with your guide and take an oriented bike ride in Siem Reap. Cycling to discover one of the most ancient sites of the region: the Roluos group which includes of the impressive Bakong, a 9th century temple, then Preah Ko and Lolei which today houses a small monastery. This is an ideal introduction to Angkor because it allows you to understand how the Khmer city was structured. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon by private vehicle. Enjoy welcome dinner with Apsara dance show at a nice local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - Cycling Angkor Wat - Srah Srang - Banteay Kdei - Ta Prohm (B) ~ 30-35 km cycling, flat terrain, easy
After breakfast we cycle to the main temples and take an extended trip to the magnificent Angkor Wat from the 12th century. This is a very special experience and monuments surpass anything you have seen before. In the afternoon we continue to Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, the great Ta Prohm Temple which is embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic vines. The evening is free at leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 - Angkor Thom - Banteay Srei (B) ~ 20 km cycling, up & down roads + flat terrain, easy to moderate cycling
We spend the morning to ride to Angkor Thom City. We have plenty of time to enjoy the countryside and look at the houses and the architecture along the way. Visit famous Bayon of the 12th and 13th centuries, dedicated to Buddhism and composed of 54 gigantic towers featuring 216 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara ; the Elephant Terrace, 350m long, used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; and the raised Leper King Terrace, built in the 12th century and which features many beautifully sculptured Apsaras. Following lunch time, keep on our journey by private vehicle to Banteay Srei temple where a most impressive jewel of Khmer art exists. Erected in the 10th century, this small pink sandstone temple known as the Citadel of Women maintains some remarkable sculptured lintels in very good condition. André Malraux made this temple famous in 1923 when he returned some Apsara heads having previously removed them. Free meals and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 - Dam Dek village - Bang Mealea - Kompong Kleang (B,L) ~ 35 km cycling - flat terrain, easy cycling
In the morning, leave your hotel for Dam Dek village for the bike ride to Beng Mealea Temple. The temple was built during the reign of Suryavarman II, in the middle of the twelfth century. It gives the visitor the impression of being the first explorer to discover the temple. Far from the bustle of Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea lends itself particularly to feelings of peaceful meditation and now inhabited only by depictions of celestial dancers (Apsaras), you will find the symbiotic relationship between vegetable and mineral most surprising as the roots of the trees that have gently wrapped this temple seem to marry their forms together. After exploring, transfer to Kompong Khleang, a village 40km from Siem Reap and bypassed by mass tourism as yet. All the houses are on stilts offering an exceptional natural environment offering breathtaking views of floodplains, rice fields and water views as far as the eye can see. Walk through the village meeting the friendly locals and their lovely children. Afterwards, travel by boat over the canals to a large lake where Vietnamese people live when they are displaced from their homes because of the seasons. Return to the village and have a picnic lunch in a villager’s home. Return to Siem Reap at the end of day. Dinner own your own. Overnight at the hotel.
