Day 1 - Hanoi - Ancient Village in Red River Delta - Mai Chau Valley (L,D)

In the morning, we depart to the west for the 60km-away Duong Lam village – about 2hours driving. Upon arrival, take a bike ride to visit local houses, communal house dated back to 17th century – the riding will give you an impression of coming back to the ancient times. Meet with local villagers and visit a workshop for self-made soya sauce. Lunch at a local house. In the afternoon, leave on a picturesque road through mountains and valleys to Mai Chau town, a journey of about 3 hours. Mai Chau is located in a beautiful valley, and it has been populated by the White Thai tribe for several centuries. The Thais are known for their harmonious community life and many lovely age-old traditions. They live on stilt houses, close to rice fields and streams. Arrive in Mai Chau in the late afternoon, check into your hotel. After freshen up, enjoy welcome dinner and a performance by locals of ethnic minority Muong and Thai people at a local traditional stilts house/ at the lodge. Overnight at the homestay-place/ the hotel.

Day 2 - Mai Chau Valley (B,L,D)

After enjoying breakfast, we then start our morning by a biking trip around the village and area. This is a good opportunity to take all nice photos of buffalos and local people working on the fields. Return for lunch break. After a short rest, be transferred to Cun Pheo Village where you will start a light trekking. Cun Pheo village is home of Muong People and about 7km away from the home-stay place. Pay a visit to Cun Pheo village and follow the big trail to Van village of Thai people then you will go through the village, passing rice fields, and trek on the hillside. Dinner and overnight at the homestay-place/ the hotel.

Day 3 - Mai Chau Valley – Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu (B,L)

After breakfast, drive from Mai Chau to Hoa Lu via Nho Quan (150 km – 5 hour driving). Plains, sugar land and waterfalls are on the way, this trip offers us one of the most picturesque countryside landscape of Vietnam. Arrival in Hoa Lu in the early afternoon. After late lunch, head to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 938 to 1010 to learn more about the history of the country. The charming little town of Hoa Lu, which used to be Vietnam’s capital city under the Dinh dynasty in the 10th century which even boasted a citadel, which unfortunately no longer exists. There are now only two temples left, which were rebuilt in the 18th century, Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh, featuring Yen Ngua Mountain in the background. Transfer to your hotel for check in and spend the night. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 - Ninh Binh – Van Long – Nho Quan – Hanoi (B,L)

After breakfast, we set out to enjoy a boat row in Van Long Nature Reserve - a site of exceptional beauty with its flooded rice fields surrounded by Limestone Mountains. The rock of these mountains is of the same type as that of the peaks in Halong Bay and Ninh Binh. You will visit the reserve aboard small wooden boats, the sampans, which will be aptly manoeuvred by a paddler… with his feet. Exoticism is guaranteed! Your escapade in the meanders of the river through the nature reserve provides an unreal landscape of rain forests and ancient mountains reflected in the water. Van Long is also the opportunity to discover numerous species of exotic birds in their natural habitat. Then getting on our bike and cycling along the dike which one side is bordered by lovely Hoang Long River and the other by immense rice fields until arriving at a local house where we will enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch. Having lunch with the locals is always a unique and rewarding experience. It is all the more true when lunch takes place at the heart of a small village in the region of Ninh Binh, amongst the karstic peaks. This moment is a true opportunity to meet a traditional Vietnamese family and to discuss with them the concept of family and daily pleasures. After a short rest, transfer by private vehicle back to Hanoi (150 km – 2 hour driving) from Nho Quan via the Ho Chi Minh Trails. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and take the opportunity to make some photos of the endless rice fields bordered by the mountain ranges. On arrival at Hanoi in the late afternoon, services end.

1. What should I do if I want to book a tour but cannot pay immediately?

When watching tour on the websites, if you want to book a tour but cannot pay immediately, you can definitely book that tour in advance. We would record the tour on our system. Then we will contact you via email to discuss payment issues. And you need to pay in advance 30% of the invoice value to ensure that you will use our service.

2. How do I know that my booking is confirmed?

After you have booked our tour, there will be an automatic email sent to your email which you used to book your tour. It is a confirmation of our company to notify that the booking process have been successfully stored. Within 2 working days, our representative will make a conversation with you via email or telephone call. The itinerary along with detailed information about your tour will be specified during this process.

10. Can I make a reservation for my friends or my family members?

Yes, you can. If you are a person who pays for and participates in the tour, you won’t need to worry about this. In case you want to make a reservation for your friends or family members, you should follow our instruction. In other words, this means you pay for it but you don’t come along with the tour. In that case, we offer you a blank space which is “Customer information”. That is the name of a person who pays for the tour. Right below that space, there is “How can we contact you in Vietnam”. Please fill in the blank with any person that you intend to book a tour for.
